Tina Tongen

LMT, AOS, CYT, Master Practitioner in Phenomenal Touch

Tina is a Licensed Massage Therapist with an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies. She’s a Master Practitioner in Phenomenal Touch Massage and Certified Yoga Teacher who helps you attune to your body and breath to relieve pain.

Her practice, Tongen Touch Massage Therapy, specializes in treating neck pain, back pain, and shoulder pain with powerfully restorative massage techniques and yoga principles. Tina’s ideal client experiences neck, shoulder, or back tension and is ready to invest in their health to move through limiting patterns and experience more freedom.

In 2008, while living at Shoshoni (yoga ashram in Rollinsville), Tina learned Ayurvedic bodywork therapies and became certified to teach yoga. At the Boulder College of Massage Therapy, she studied Shiatsu, Swedish, Integrative Massage, Orthopedic Massage, Medical Massage, Trauma Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy and graduated after 2 years with an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies. She continued to learn with Orthopedic Massage mentors, studied for 3 years with the Institute of Phenomenal Touch, and participated in 6 years of monthly embodied meditation retreats with the Ridhwan School (the Diamond Approach / Diamond Heart).  She’s grateful to offer her practice of listening and responding to what the body needs to be healthy.

Tina herself experienced daily back, shoulder, and neck pain for years after a skiing accident in 2009.  With help, she developed an understanding of the chronic patterns that produced her pain. Building awareness to move through pain with more ease is her passion.  There are simple ways to reconnect with how good it is to be in a healthy, happy body, and Tina can help you get there!

“Tina’s dedication to her craft is in her knowledge and willingness to share. She’s introduced me to many new techniques and activities that work for me. One of Tina’s wonderful qualities is her ability to ask great questions and listen for personalized service. I started out with a massage once a month and increased my visits to once a week resulting in a drastic change in my health for the better.”
